Inital Exam
Diagnosis
- Slight Maxillary Deficiency A-P
- Class III Molar w/ Open Bite
- Posterior Bi-lateral Crossbite
- Anterior Open Bite
- Maxillary/Mandibular Crowding
Treatment Plan
- Non-Extraction
- Eliminate crossbite
- Broaden arches without expander
- correct class III open bite with elastics
- Posterior disarticulation of 6’s
- kaplan hooks off upper 5’s and 6’s
Inital Bonding
Torque Selection
Upper
- Low Torque Upper 2-2
- Because we will be using class III elastics, we want to prevent the upper incisors from flaring.
- High Torque Upper Left 3
Lower
As we retract the lower arch, the lower anteriors are going to want to dump in lingually.
- Lower 2-2- Regular Torque
- Regular Torque brackets should keep the lower incisors upright as we correct the bite.
- Lower 3s-High Torque
- Lower 4s & 5s(Torques not shown)- High Torque
- They look pretty dumped in.
