Advanced TAD Mechanics for MARPE, Gummy Smiles & Undercover Smiles
March 4-6, 2027 | Frost Orthodontics Learning Center, Mesa, Arizona
Taught by Dr. Stuart Frost, The Artist Orthodontist, and Dr. Jeremy Manuele
Most CE stops at the lecture. This course is built around the chair. Over three days, Dr. Frost and Dr. Manuele take you from facial diagnosis to treatment mechanics to the finish, on real patients you will see treated in person.
Thursday, March 4: Diagnosis
Check-in opens at 11am, followed by lunch. Afternoon sessions on facial and smile esthetics: smile arc, lip dynamics, incisor display, telling a gummy smile from an undercover smile, facial balance and the vertical dimension. Then a treatment overview covering gummy smile intrusion with TADs, undercover smile extrusion, MARPE and bite management. We close with an open Q&A roundtable.
Friday, March 5: Live patients
In the morning we review the actual cases being treated that afternoon: gummy smiles, undercover smiles, MARPE, bonding and debonds. In the afternoon you rotate between the live patient clinic and hands on stations for anterior and posterior TAD placement, MARPE anchorage and piezo technique on pig jaws. Dinner together that evening.
Saturday, March 6: Deep dives
Dr. Manuele leads the morning on advanced MARPE treatment planning, airway considerations, complication management and bringing it into your own workflow. Dr. Frost leads the afternoon on the art of finishing and contouring: the Six Keys, tissue contouring and integrating TAD mechanics into the finish. We wrap at 5pm.
